Nervous System Support

Support For Women Ready To Understand Themselves And Make Choices From Clarity Rather Than Fear

“I could finally stop fighting myself…”

In the words of one client, our work helps break down the barriers between how capable you appear and how overwhelmed you feel. As a holistic psychologist, I work with women who want to understand themselves beyond surface-level advice.

My clients are often successful in many areas of their lives, yet feel stuck in their relationships, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to move through anxiety, divorce, loss, or another major transition.

My work may also be a fit if you are looking for a therapist for generational trauma who considers how family patterns, lived experiences, the nervous system, and the body can influence your relationships and sense of self. Together, we create space for you to make choices that feel more your own.

I have spent more than eight years helping people understand the emotions and patterns that can be difficult to name, let alone change. What continues to guide my work is the belief that you cannot fully understand a person by looking at one symptom, one relationship, or one difficult chapter in isolation.

My training began in life coaching, where I became interested in what helps people create meaningful change in their lives. From there, I trained in the Akashic Records, which expanded the way I thought about personal history, patterns, and the experiences we carry with us. Wanting to understand these processes more deeply eventually led me to psychology, where I developed a stronger foundation for working with anxiety, emotional regulation, relationships, trauma, and major life transitions.

Over time, my work has continued to evolve through a deeper exploration of the nervous system, the body, family patterns, and generational experiences.

Katya Martin, trauma psychologist

Originally from Russia, I have lived in France, Hong Kong, the United States, and Uzbekistan, and I work with clients in English, French, and Russian. Living across cultures has given me a personal understanding of adaptation, identity, belonging, and what it means to rebuild your sense of home.

I am also a mother and have been through divorce myself. I understand how deeply you can love the people in your life while still feeling tired, overwhelmed, or unsure where you exist beneath all the responsibility. You are allowed to be a whole person, not only the one who takes care of everyone else.

Today, my work as a psychologist brings these perspectives together — psychology, the nervous system, lived experience, and a holistic understanding of the person — to help you understand yourself more deeply, trust yourself more fully, and find your own way forward.

the values guiding the work

Help The Whole Person

Your mind, body, nervous system, relationships, and lived experiences are all connected.

Safety Before Change

You deserve space to feel seen, respected, and supported without judgment or pressure.

Depth Over ‘Quick Fixes’

I take time to understand what is beneath the surface before setting a plan to move toward change.

Evidence And Intuition Can Coexist

Psychology and grounded spiritual exploration can work together to offer a fuller understanding of who you are.

I help clients understand how inherited beliefs, family roles, and unspoken expectations continue to shape their relationships and sense of self today. We look at where these patterns started, how they show up in the body and nervous system, and what needs to happen for you to respond differently.

Therapist is a broad term that can include many different types of licenses and levels of training. As a licensed psychologist, I’ve completed doctoral-level education, supervised clinical hours, and licensing exams that reflect specific psychologist qualifications and standards of practice. My education was completed at Moscow Institute of Psychology.

My approach as a trauma psychologist is informed by psychology, trauma work, and an understanding of how the nervous system, relationships, lived experiences, and generational patterns can shape the way we feel and respond. As a holistic psychotherapist, I look at the whole person rather than one symptom or difficult period in isolation, then help you turn that understanding into practical changes you can use in daily life.

I work with women navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, divorce and separation, self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing, generational trauma and major life transitions. Many of my clients are the ones everyone else relies on, and are used to holding things together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed underneath it all.

All of my sessions are held virtually, so we can work together from wherever you’re located. After you fill out the contact form, you can book your first full session. After that session, you can decide whether you’d like to continue working together and choose the consultation package that best fits your needs.

This depends on what you’re working through and what outcome you are hoping to reach. Some clients come for a specific season of life, such as navigating a divorce or a big life transition. Others choose to continue longer term, especially when addressing generational patterns or deeper relational dynamics. We’ll check in regularly about what’s working and move to best move forward with support.
